Description
The 'Solar Flare' bergenia has vivid, leathery leaves—variegated yellow with green markings and reddish pink undersides—whose colour ratchets up during cooler weather in fall and spring. While each new flush of growth is variegated, by midsummer it matures to shades of green, then reverts to bright coloration in the fall. Short spikes of pink flowers appear in late spring. Tolerates heat, cold and humidity.
